Week 4:EOC best studying practices

There are many different methods of studying and just like a fine wine certain methods fit certain people better. To me personally the best studying method is to write down the topics or assignments on paper that seem important. This way my brain can analyze every word and letter to make it stick better. While some people like to listen to music and cum gum while studying, it is proven that your brain associates habits or patterns when you are doing a task. There are also some things you can do to help you study the way you want.
Such as,
1. Try not to study for extremely long amounts of time
In other words, do not try to pull that all-nighter. Do not study for 6 hours straight. It isn't going to help you in the long run. The problem with studying for such long periods of time is that no matter how much information you cram, you won't remember it all. According to How-to-Study.com, taking short breaks between studying will recharge you mental and give you a little more energy.
2. Don't Procrastinate
Most agree that homework should be done as soon as possible to avoid forgetting to finish it at all. The same goes for studying. When you know a test is coming up, study for it each day leading up to it. It will keep you mentally sharp and will also alleviate the need to study all night.
3. Set goals
There's no point in just trying to aimlessly study everything. Set a goal. If you have to read 100 pages in 3 nights for a test, don't try to read them all and hope to remember it for the test. Break it down and master the information in each section.
4. If possible, avoid interruptions while studying
This one is obvious. If you're constantly being interrupted by other people, or your surroundings, then you cannot possibly concentrate on studying. Find a quiet place where you are comfortable and then get to work.
5. Review notes/work during downtime... like over the weekend
Though you may want to relax and enjoy your weekend, those two days at the end of the week provide plenty of time to get work and study done and over with. Admittedly, it’s difficult to finish everything during the week. There's a lot going on. Use the weekend to finish up anything you missed at your own leisure.
